By partnering with Hanan’s Childcare & Academic Development Center, 34 Ways Foundation and Community Builders; we enhance the total community by offering the utmost quality of service to our families. This year we offered a 2 in 1 spring camp. Complete Athletes and 34 Ways Foundation collaborated to make sure student athletes learn that performance off the field is greater than performance on the field.
Our student athletes heard different messages from Professional athletes and other community stakeholders. Hanan’s Academic Development Center and Community Builders continued their legacy by facilitating one of Dade County’s most rewarding spring camps for ages 5-12.
Hanan’s Childcare and Academic Development Center provides a carefully planned, stimulating environment which help children develop within themselves the foundational habits, attitudes, skills, and ideas which are essential for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning. These skillsets coupled with Complete Athletes’ athletic skill training, academic, college prep and Advaned life skills developmental programs were quite impactful to say the least.
In addition to our partnerships, we relied on great friends to help us make a difference in the lives of our youth. Nicole Roulhac of Helping Hands conducted an excellent FCAT readiness and reading component. The City of Opa Locka police department sent their D.A.R.E. officers to put on an unforgettable presentation to over 60 kids. Miles Sporting Goods and Apparel donated tshirts and bags filled with goodies. We wrapped up with our youth meeting and greeting Professional NFL Athletes on “Free play Friday”. Home grown NFL Superstar Mike Mckenzie worked directly with the kids on and off the field. Needless to say, our youth cannot wait until the Summer Camp! Neither can we! All participats received Certificates of Achievement, Tshirts, Goodie bags and more. REGISTER TODAY for OUR UPCOMING SUMMER CAMP! Catch an appetizer of our services on Sundays at the Betty T.Ferguson Center.
